Meet Your Host,
Dervla Trainor
Born in Ireland, bred in Canada, Dervla has been a voiceover actor for over 12 years. Alongside her work behind the mic, she has also taken on roles in production and casting, and previously founded the voiceover conference, V.O. North.
In 2023, she created the VO Kickstart Program, designed to help aspiring voice actors build the right foundations and put everything in place to grow a thriving voiceover career.
With a strong focus on helping voice actors charge what they’re worth and build sustainable, profitable businesses - backed by her background in sales and psychology - she also developed The Negotiating Formula, a step-by-step masterclass that walks VOs through the entire pricing conversation and teaches practical negotiation skills.
Continuing her mission to uplift and educate the voiceover industry, she also created this event, the Voiceover Speaker Series which has helped thousands of voice actors understand and navigate the voiceover business like a pro.
